By Alma Fullerton
I love the end it was so happy it brang tears to my eyes. the part that there mom died also brang tears to my eyes. thank you! Elias
Wow! I really loved this book. When the 2 boys lost their mom I didn't think they would be able to find a way back to life. but when they find their dad in America I was really surprised now know how I have way more choices in life and that I should be thank full for what I get!!!
I really liked Libertad because I thought it was believable enough to make you want read more. I felt it was a really easy read, I liked the free verse because it made me want to get a book that is free verse. It wasn't like any other novel where you would keep reading were you wouldn't want to continue. Overall it was an awesome book!!
Libertad opened our eyes to how people around the world live with very little. It was moving and showed us that we need to be grateful for all that we have. Writing it in free verse made it a novel that many students would be able to finish. It had a very powerful message and we appreciated that it had a happy yet believable ending. We voted for Libertad because it covered an important topic, it was appropriate for all grades, and it was fast paced. Most students couldn't put it down. This is a great book!
Libertad was an amazing book. It was so suspenseful to read and very adventeress. It was also very good.
This is one of my favorites because it is so sad but also happy and I think has some Spanish words in it too!!! :)
this book had a very interesting story style, it was sort of like a poem if some sort but that's not all this book has a very interesting story its about a two brothers who want to their father who's in America. They decide to go on search when their mother dies from getting crushed by garbage(What a way to go) They meet other people who offer to help them and some try to take advantage of them. Its a very touching story of Kids who don't have much go on a touching journey to find their father
I really like the book Libertad. I felt sad for the kids in the book when they lost there Mom and had to go find there Dad which was in the United States. But when they found him I felt happy for them. I couldn’t believe the dangers they had go through. I think this book is easy to read because of the way it is written. But I think this is an awesome book I recommend this to everyone because this book is awesome.
I realy like the book Libertad I felt sad for the kids who lost there Mom and had to go look for there dad who was in the united states. But I was happy for them when there Dad. I think the book is easy to read because of the way it is writen. But over all I think this book is awesome I think ever body should read it.
This was a really touching story. It was sort of written in poem form but I still loved it.
I thought it was a great, sad story. Learning how hard it is to live with nothing will make you want to cry!! The boys need to find their father which leads them all the way to America. It is easy to read too, but still a chapter book! I think that grade 4-5 would very much love it! I give it a 5/5. It was that good!!!
I like the way the book was written. When I say written I mean like it was written in prose. I like the idea of how the author put Libertad and his brother on a adventure with many obstacles they have to deal with. The idea with the every day life problems of the Mexican orphans is a good idea. Julio really looks up to Libertad and depends on him. Overall I loved the book. Way to go Alma Fullerton! :D
I thought it was so, so. but I thought it was not funny.
Libertad is a sad and book but it has adventures I would never think of. I love this book
Libertad was a sad sad book. just thinking of people having to live like that is terrible. everyone should read this book just to know that there lucky its not them having to live in a dump. just imagine not eating at every meal or working days and night sorting through garbage and getting little money.
It was a really great book! It was sad. I liked the story. It seemed realistic and believable. I'd read it again!
It is really sad. I like it. It is cool how it is written. There is like 30 words on a page sort of like a poem! Out of 10 I would give it a 9 and a half.
I love the style of writing, in poems. It gives a good way to relate with what Libertad felt.
I thought libertad was very good i really liked the part where they wanted to find their dad and they had to travel to the USA and stayed with that family for a while and they wanted to keep them forever!
