One Hen
By Katie Smith Milway
I liked One Hen because it is based on a true story. I also liked it because it was very interesting.
My favorite book was One Hen becasue it talked about a boy who made money starting with one hen.
I liked One Hen because in the end of the story the author ended up owning his own farm and helping people in the village.
One hen is a pretty good book it tells about how one hen helped a family in Africa and one boy bought the hen and after a few years later he build up to just one hen to millions I rate this book 8/10
This was a wonderful, inspiring book that is really appropriate for all elementary classrooms. I liked how it showed that one person really can change the world. I also appreciated that it showed how a whole country can be changed when the people begin to have hope and a little help. This is a book that should and could be read to every classroom!
I really like this book because it is a short read and it tells that one hen can make a difference. I also like how it tells about the boys life growing up and how the village is growing bigger because of the one hen.
I think this is a good book .I think this book will inspire others that one man can really make a difference.
I think One Hen was a really good book. It really inspired me that one thing can make a difference.
I loved this book because it all starts with this one hen and ends up Ina whole business that helps his mother and everyone around him as he grows older.
This book is a great book. The little boy was really poor than he became really rich. I would recommend this book to anyone.
This book was pretty good not one of my al time favorites but good.
it was good
The book was VERY interesting. I would definitely read One Hen again. Kogo has an amazing personality, he is very funny, enthusiastic, and definitely optimistic. I like how he worked hard to help the people around him and his mother.
It is a loving caring book. I would recommend this to my classmates. It is also a very giving book. I would rate this book 5/5.
I thought that one Hen was a good book. It taught me about how hard some children have to work at such a young age. But one small loan can make a difference in kojo's country and as he gets older and has grand children they work as hard as he did.
I would read One Hen again. Kojo had a great personality, he was funny and enthusiastic. I liked how he ended up being very rich and helped his mom a lot!
It's a good book showing how that big dreams and hard work can become huge, real things. I would recommend it to anybody who likes short stories. Another good thing about it is the pictures.
The Rocky Mountain Book Award Committee of GPN really enjoyed One Hen. It was very interesting because the farmer trusted Kojo with the hen and Kojo paid him back and it showed how one small loan can make a difference.
I thought it was so, so. but I was funny.
It was a really good book! I loved it! It shows how a small choice can make a big difference. If he had bought a toy rather than a hen, not only would it change their meals and money but it might change his personality! This was a great book! I would read it over and over again!!!
One Hen was a good book. I would score it a 7 out of 10 because I lost interest when Kojo went to college.
I thought One Hen was a very neat story and I didn't know it was true until the end.
