| At The Edge |
| By Larry Verstraete |
i got a toiprd for 12 droller same as yours around 5 feet long and can fold and fit in the cam bag
At the Edge I think this book was very interesting and very exciting because the stories had lots of detail. The story I liked the most is the one where the men had to either live or die. When these two friends had to pull sticks the one with the smallest stick would have to go in the gas room. The English friend {I think not sure} pulled the biggest stick and saved the German friend from dying in the gas room. The German {the one that was controlling the camp} said, “Well he is German’’. This book was sometimes scary in a couple of the stories, for example when this man was going to put his two daughters on the train and send them to their mother. A young camera man that was waiting for the train had a seizure and fell uncontrollably on the tracks. The man that saw the young man that fell on the tracks and he saw the tracks rumble. The train was very close to the station. He jumped on the tracks grabbed the man and bear hugged him. The train driver saw the men on the tracks put the emergency brakes on and stopped in time. The two men surprisingly were still alive and got his daughters on the train as planned. It was a crazy story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book is better for an older youth audience (it’s a bit violent). It’s an exciting book with many different true stories inside. If you like action and drama then this is the book for you! It’s shocking and surprising all at the same time. This book is now one of my favorite books ever. I hope you’ll love it as much as I did.
I thought that it was such a good book that on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 237. I really liked all of the suspense, action and extremely painful heartbreaking decisions that people were forced to make. My favorite story was the one where 2 climbers on Everest got separated and one of them almost died.
